A research collaboration meeting between Lorestan University and the Lorestan Oil Company was held.

Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in line with the memorandum of understanding signed between Lorestan University and the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company of Lorestan region last year, a joint meeting was held at the invitation of the company to develop research priorities related to the company.
According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, in this meeting, which was planned by Lorestan University with the coordination of the Head of the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology and the Director of Community and Entrepreneurship Relations (Dr. Hossein Hatami and Dr. Meysam Doostizadeh), Reza Asareh, Head of the Industry and Entrepreneurship Relations Group, and some members of the faculty of Lorestan University from related and specialized groups such as Business Management, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Polymer Engineering were present.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Hosseini, the General Manager of the Oil Company of Lorestan Province, while welcoming the visiting team from Lorestan University, provided a brief explanation about the needs assessment and research priorities of the oil company to the guests and, referring to the importance of the fuel supply to various sectors of society, including transportation, industries, residential and commercial sectors, both in rural and urban areas, explained that issues such as the location of CNG stations - the realization of consumption - the location of rural dealerships - the disposal and treatment of wastewater from the company's oil products, and the design of a transportation model for oil tankers are emphasized.
In the meeting, which was hosted by the General Manager of the Lorestan Oil Company, Reza Asareh stated that Lorestan University, with its large scientific-laboratory capacities (human resources and laboratory equipment), can assist in solving and identifying the problems of this industry in various fields in line with the university's mission in the field of industry-university relations.
In the meeting, Dr. Mohammad Hakak, a faculty member of the Faculty of Management and Economics of Lorestan University, was present on behalf of this faculty and stated that in the field of human resource management and financial management, the Faculty of Management and Economics can have effective cooperation with the oil company of Lorestan region.
In the meeting, Dr. Vahid Mehrdad, a faculty member of the Electronics Group and the Director of Information Technology of Lorestan University, discussed the location, construction of fuel supply stations, and the smartening of the liquid fuel and CNG sector.
Also, Dr. Asiyeh Habibi, a faculty member of the Mechanical Engineering and Polymer Engineering Department of Lorestan University, discussed the issue of disposal and collection of sludge deposited in fuel tanks, and it was approved that, with the agreement of the management of the Lorestan Oil Company, in coordination with the company's security, these tanks will be visited this week.
At the end of the meeting, Reza Asareh, Head of the Industry and Entrepreneurship Relations Department of Lorestan University, by summarizing the issues discussed, agreed with the managers of the oil company that the oil company would announce the research needs and priorities in an official letter to the President of Lorestan University, Dr. Mehrdad Dadestani, so that based on it, the requested topics can be addressed.
It is worth mentioning that in the meeting, Engineer Bijan Asadian-Fili, Head of the Engineering Services Department, Engineer Kamran Bababik, Head of Supply and Distribution of Oil Products, Engineer Afshin Moradi, Safety and Health Officer, Engineer Hossein Azizi, Head of Borujerd District, Engineer Seyed Hossein Mousavi, Expert of the Engineering Department, and Farzaneh Eskini, Research Officer of the Lorestan Oil Company, were also present.
