Sabbatical in Society and Industry

Over the past decades, the trend of transformation and progress in the structure and activities of universities and scientific centers in the country has been very significant. Fortunately, in this path, universities have gradually expanded research and innovation topics in addition to the duty of educating and training specialized personnel. Accordingly, since 2018, the regulations of the "Sabbatical of Faculty Members in Society and Industry" plan have been approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and communicated to universities.

The role of research in the development of societies is increasing day by day, and considering the role of universities and industries in this matter, the need for their communication with industries and executive bodies has become more prominent in recent years. Based on this, the logical and purposeful expansion of the relationship between universities and industry in order to develop the country's science is necessary and important. In order to benefit from the superior sabbatical plan of faculty members in society and industry in line with improving the quality of research and industrial activities of the country, universities and higher education and research institutions should make appropriate use of the capacity of this plan and strive for its proper implementation to provide a basis for cooperation in identifying and solving the country's problems. It is hoped that with precise planning and effective use of this legal capacity, we will witness the increasing effectiveness of the esteemed faculty members in improving the economic and social conditions of the country.
