"Science and Industry" Conference at Lorestan University/ Emphasis on "Skill-Based Education"

Hosted by Lorestan University, the scientific conference "Science in the Service of Industry" with the aim of clarifying the role of universities in empowering industries, was held on Saturday, November 22nd of this year in the Shahid Faraji Hall of the Faculty of Basic Sciences.

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, this event was held with the participation of the Student Scientific Association of Mechanical Engineering of Lorestan University, Lorestan Science and Technology Park, and the Lorestan University Growth Center and was welcomed by professors, researchers, and a group of students.

Emphasis on Entrepreneurial, Skill-Oriented, and Industry-Oriented Universities

In this conference, Dr. Hossein Hatami, Vice President for Research and Technology of Lorestan University, Dr. Morteza Ghobadi, Director of Community and Entrepreneurship Relations of the University, Dr. Almasi, Deputy Director of Support of Lorestan Science and Technology Park, and other speakers emphasized the necessity of the link between "science" and "practice."

The speakers announced:

_ Strengthening the relationship between Lorestan University and the industries of the province and the country is a serious necessity.

_ Skill enhancement during education should be seen as part of university education.

_ An entrepreneurial, community-oriented, and problem-oriented university can meet the real needs of the industry.

_ Students should also gain practical experience and presence in industrial environments alongside theoretical learning.
